Optimise Aggregation has once again partnered with The Adviser as the main sponsor of its Elite Broker Ranking for asset finance, featured in the October 2026 edition of the magazine.
The Adviser is one of the biggest publications in the mortgage and finance broking industry. This year’s ranking recognises the top 100 brokers by the dollar volume of asset finance they settled for vehicles, equipment, technology and other business assets in the 2026 financial year. The ranking was compiled by Agile Market Intelligence on behalf of The Adviser, with brokers required to provide evidence for the figures they submitted.
The headline numbers
Congratulations to all 100 brokers recognised in this year’s ranking.
Together, the top 100 brokers wrote more than $775.3 million in asset finance across 9,885 loans in FY26. The top 20 alone accounted for about $552 million of that across 5,646 loans.

Michelle Gorsevski, founder and director of lendlab, took out the top spot. She settled almost $10 million more than in FY25 and wrote the most loans of any broker in the ranking. Sidd Bahree of Xpress Finance finished second, and Colin Evans of The Asset Finance Shop was third.
William Hong of Talk To A Broker, who topped the FY25 ranking, placed 14th this year.

Different models, same standard
The ranking shows there is no single path to the top. Volume-driven brokerages settled hundreds or even thousands of smaller deals, while commercial specialists wrote a handful of very large ones. Michelle Gorsevski topped the board with 1,859 loans averaging about $31,500; Paul Frazis of George Capital Finance Solutions placed sixth with $38.7 million from just two settled loans, an average of $19.35 million per deal.
Medical finance specialist MedX Finance also stood out, with three brokers in the top 20 and five in the top 100. Average loan sizes for its top three brokers ranged from roughly $450,000 to $494,000.
Several other brokerages had multiple brokers rank highly. Valiant Finance placed 19 brokers in the top 100, LoanOptions.ai placed seven and Balanz and Dealify each placed three.
A strong year for asset finance demand
The Adviser notes that ABS data for the June 2026 quarter showed private new capital expenditure on plant, equipment and machinery fell, driven largely by a pullback in heavy mining investment. Even so, brokers, lenders and aggregators reported that underlying demand for asset finance stayed strong over FY26, helped by consumer demand for electric vehicles and fleet modernisation.
The Adviser also reports that more mortgage brokers added asset finance to their offering in the second half of the year as rates rose and the property market softened.
